FlySafair Careers Jobs Description
Jobs Responsibilities:
Required to perform various Hangar duties including, but not limited to:
- Analyse and understand aircraft blueprints, specifications, and maintenance manuals to make repairs;
- Prepare surfaces and apply protective coatings to a variety of materials used on aircraft;
- Build composite components for air vehicles using appropriate lay-up techniques;
- Operate a broad variety equipment for cutting, kitting, and assembly of materials to include machines requiring understanding of computer software technology;
- Use hand/power tools in a safe and efficient manner to shape and form simple and complex components;
- Prepare composite components for curing process in autoclave and/or oven by applying proper vacuum bagging methods and procedures;
- Ensure parts meet all quality standards and guidelines prior to presenting for inspection;
- Perform simple composite repairs when needed;
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area and complies with all safety regulations.
Posting Requirements:
- Grade 12;
- Trade test Certificate;
- Licensed AME with a SACAA B rating;
- Understand basic math;
- Minimum of ten (10) years aviation experience;
- Previous experience working on B737 – 400 and 800;
- Good knowledge and understanding of computers;
- Valid South African passport holder;
- Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, and overtime as and when required;
- Must be available and willing to travel at short notice.
